Laptop (carb)

carb is Thinkpad X1 Carbon 7th gen with i7, a 14” 4k screen, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

It’s wrapped with a d-brand carbon skin, because I really hated how easily it’d collect fingerprints and smudges otherwise.

It’s a lovely machine running Arch Linux with bspwm; works just great as my portable workhorse.

I love how small and light it is - I can literally lift it with two fingers.

I gave up trying to work around this weird microphone on Linux – the only thing that I’m missing.

Battery life is acceptable; Depending on the workload I’m getting 6-9 hours with tlp and some thinkpad-specific tweaks (such as throttling via lenovo_fix systemd service etc.).
